Phone Ship - Conceptual photography taken in the then-unfinished offices of the School of Design and Arts building. The phone's reflection gives it the look of a fish or a spaceship, hence the name. Nikon FM3
Dragonfly - The underside of a fixed tent installation in the Ayala Center along with its lighting give these ceiling fixtures an almost insectile look.
The New Conformity - The juxtaposition of the chaos of street art inside a fixed cube and nestled under clean geometric architecture belies the ironic assimilation of "punk" into our mainstream popular culture. 2008, Ayala Center, Manila
Convergence - Taken from the 5th floor of the School of Design and Art building during a well-timed sunset. The development of technology and the integration of virtually every conceivable feature into our daily life will eventually lead to enlightenment or utter chaos.
Pinnacle - A close-up of the sundial clock at the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio. 2009, Nikon D40x
Edifice - Frontal view of the Philippine International Convention Center on Roxas Boulevard, Manila. The PICC and its surrounding cultural center was the brainchild of the extravagant former first lady Imelda Marcos. 2010
Offering - The reverse side of the Edifice picture, facing a hexagonal-style apartment building on the other side of Roxas Boulevard. Twin flagpoles reach up to the sun above the altar. 2010
Salvation - A rather blunt reminder that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for someone to enter heaven. 2010, Jesuit Campus at the Lourdes Grotto, Baguio City
Teeter - An experiment in timing, taken during a community outreach program to a slum area in Manila. 2010, Nikon D40x.
Iron Flock - Through the smoggy mountains, the dutiful cranes continue their journey into the night. Taken through the window of a bus returning from a field trip. 2010, Manila Port Area, Nikon D40x.

Photography

Part of my industrial design instruction included basic photography classes. As a result of these classes I started to take photos for their aesthetic appeal and to help me find inspiration.

I used a variety of cameras for these photos, dated 2007-2010. These included the Nikon FM3, the "Chotto Shot" camera attachment for the PlayStation Portable, and the Nikon D40x.
