Prototype on Display - The final prototype, displaying three different storage methods (drawer, door, and open) and three different materials (standard hardwood and two indigenous materials). The three components can be rearranged and the tabletop placed on top afterward.
Initial Design Sketch
Working Drawings - Cooperating with the Hacienda Craft's design department, we created 1:1 working drawings of the drawer design that included not only detailed measurements but also notes on material choice and texture.

Piramidas Drawer

From December 2010 to March 2011 I collaborated with the Hacienda Crafts company in Bacolod, Philippines to design a furniture piece for the Student Internship Program's booth at the annual CebuNeXt exhibition.

Constructed of hardwood, coconut palm and bamboo branches (top to bottom, respectively), the Mesoamerican-inspired Piramidas is a three-piece modular bedside drawer that can be rotated and reassembled to the user's liking for convenience.
