Kando is a smart connected care ecosystem designed to transform nursing home operations. Futurewave designed the full product system, a wearable button, a wall-mounted box, and central hubs, integrating industrial design, electronics, and embedded software into one cohesive, manufacturable product.
The Kando Button clips onto a resident or their bed, using LED feedback and vibration confirmation for intuitive one-touch emergency interaction. The Kando Box mounts on the wall and connects to the resident's TV as an interactive visual interface. Central hubs tie the system together for facility-wide coordination.
The project covered the complete scope: product architecture, industrial design, electronics integration, embedded software, and prototyping — built for real-world care environments.
