'Tubby' two seat sofa. - I currently work for the contemporary contract furniture manufacturer, Allermuir in England. This is the first development project undertaken by myself at the company, many more have followed since. I developed the 'Tubby' range of sofa's from early sketch form, 3D modelling, drawing components in preperation of manufacture and finally assembly of the products for exhibitions such as 100% Design held at Earls Court London.
'Geo' chair and bar stool - Due to the nature of allermuir furniture design there has never been the opportunity for an in-house project, with commissions awarded to british and european designers. However on presenting several of my ideas to the design manager and directors, permission was given for in-house research and development to take place. The result of this process will hopefully be seen early 2002 in the form of the ‘geo’ chair and stool product range.
'Waterfall' European Design Competition Award Winning Illuminaire - Winner of the european design competition ‘lights of the future’, euroluce 2000, milan.

The illuminaire can be classified as a modern table lamp, used for reading or general side lighting. The illuminaire does however emit a generous amount of light. This is due to the modern compact fluorescent bulb that is used in the product. This ten watt bulb emits a clear white light that would benefit any modern home. The bulb and shade are also pivoted increasing safety of the product. The concrete base forms a solid platform for the shade. The strength is added to this material with the introduction of a steel rod, which runs through the base.
'Zest' Gas Cooker - Zest is a modern gas hob designed to give the user freedom of choice and provide versatility in any size of kitchen. It can be tailored to suit the individuals needs, and offers a unique 'choose your hob' feature in a variety of colour and material. Its' clever design feature enables full utilisation of the kitchen worktops including those awkward corner slots which are so often wasted. Zest will not only improve the quality of food which is being cooked, but will also provide enjoyment to the user; as is presents a bright and stylish touch to any kitchen.
'Educati' Childs Educational Cycle - The Educati 2000 is a revolutionary aid for teachers in educating children between the age of four and six years. This product can be used to aid the child and teacher alike.The 'Educati 2000' will be used in schools all over the country offering wide and varied education, from the highway code to product placement. This is a computer based product that allows a variety of educational games to be located through one system. Software is displayed on an LCD screen which can be observed by the rider, interaction takes place using the handle bars. Due to the nature of the product the teacher could use it as a reward for good behaviour. Alternatively the product could be used as a teaching aid with a small group of children taking turns to ride on the Educati 2000.
