The project is a collaboration with designers Nilou Esfandiary, Valentina Coraglia and Jing Hu.
What is luxury? In our modern society the term is defined as a state of great comfort and elegance which is usually associated with a great expense. However, the same word quickly changes context depending on its association with ether an individual or a certain social, economical and cultural class.
The project has a critical nature and is design to provoke and enable conversations regarding the huge dichotomy of our society as well as to draw attention to the constantly expanding boundaries of what is already perceive as luxurious.
The design outcome consists of a conceptual kit that allows the user to inhale gold dust through the nose. At the end of the experience the costumer elevates himself by becoming his most valuable possession and reaches the ultimate extreme.
