The 5 following illustrations are part of a 120 furniture pieces built in Adobe Dimensions Illustrator and Photoshop. Dimensions wasn't a real 3D soft, but fast and simple to use, a few tricks allowing to go around it's numerous limitations. Lighting was never accurate, shadows impossible to trace. So every piece was touched up in Photoshop, shadows added manually. This could sound complicated, but it was very fast to buid a piece, probably faster than using any other 3D high-end program.
In order to show my client that I could handle his 120 pieces furniture project in Dimensions, I built this calculator that was sitting on my desk. And it got me the job...
For these weathervanes, I worked from the original design to this 3D rendering image. The cat/bird/mouse was retained and mass produced. Figi Graphics.
