Standard Issue Headphones

The goal with these headphones was to design a retro-hip set of oversized headphones with an 80’s style color combination. This project was a collaborative project wtih a graphic designer who invented the brand identity for Standard Issue Headphones. Like with the cufflink case, I wanted to enhance the brand imaging on the headhpones with the use of high-contrast materials, especially in places where logos are present. The high-contrast colors immediately attract attention from would-be buyers and make these high-performance headphones a fashion accessory. They are bluetooth enabled and connect to a transponder via a standard 3.5mm connector. Furthermore, they come with removable side caps and blank white vinyl replacements so owners can customize their headphones, much like KidRobot’s Munny dolls.
