Torcer - Torcer is a shoe that has a ankle support system intergrated with the shoe. The "ankle brace" is made out of carbon fiber and it is suppose to decrease ankle injuries. I was challenged into designing a shoe with no shoe laces and I was not able to use glue or stiching. The whole shoe is held together by ultrasonic welding, which is materials being welded together.
