Iat Chi (ya-chi) Sin

The idea was taken from a form study model. The beauty of the simplicity of the model was recognized and further prototype studies were done focusing on the functionality of the chair while keeping the model’s overall beautiful form and the feeling of it floating in the air.

The overall form was translated into a spoon-like shape through sketches and clay model making. Various of foam models were made for studying different shapes and proportion.
