Freelance Bike Project: Speed Model - Originating from a group project that took place in the Fall of 2005, this design was my first freelance project outside of school. It is a rendered concept of what could be, the "speed" oriented electric assist commuter bike. Enclosed Chain Drive System and Clip in Battery Connection keeps things concealed, and protects the rider from any moving parts. Scanned in from hand drawing, then rendered in Photoshop.
Furniture Project - This coffee table was designed with the idea that it's owner could rearrange and interact with the table to change the perspective at which the sculpture is viewed. As a designer, I love the use of industrial materials being introduced into the home of it's consumers. So many materials can be used in ways they were not originally created for. The steel metal to glass relationship expresses the indestructable/fragile composition that lives within this sculpture. The metal structures are identical, yet it's audience often does not view it this way. Good design should attract interest in people that normally are not interested in design.
Digital Drawing: Sunglasses - Wacom Tablet, Sketchbook Pro, and 35 minutes.
