School Mural 2015
Last year I was asked to paint a mural for Hayeswood Primary School. The desire was to brighten up their reception/entrance area with a child friendly theme relating to their school emblem- an oak tree adorned with various woodland animals. Initially I was very nervous and doubtful as to whether I could undertake this project. I had never painted animals before, especially in acrylic paint (a material that I would always be reluctant to use.) However it was also a very exciting and thrilling idea, to make my mark upon a space that children would hopefully grow up and remember fondly in years to come. I therefore looked upon this project as a challenge to test my skills and capabilities as an artist.
