TRAV-ALL dog cage concept

A group project which is held every year, using an existing company, who set out the brief for each group of designers. This year a brief looking at how to transport animals within vehicles was used, using the company Trav-All. The idea which was achieved was a new travel cage for small animals to be used in small cars, aimed at cars with 2 or 3 doors, where the front seats have to be folded down to get into the back. The final idea being a foldable dog cage which can be put onto a back seat, un folded and locked in using existing seat belts. This saves space in terms of carrying the case when not in use, and then putting it into the car through a relatively small space betweent the car seat and door structure.
In the end the dog cage was to be produced using ABS and Aluminium, to create a premium dog cage, which would be light enough for a user to install within a small space, and strong and rigid enough to hold a dog securely and not wear down quickly.
