Product Promotion for India Ink - Magazine advertisement for India Ink uses unique typeface to promote the product. Typeface “India Ink” used in this ad was created by altering a standard typeface. Once placed in FontLab, metrics and kerning pairs were adjusted. The magazine ad uses the product itself to represent the letter “I” in “India” by creating the shape of the country on the canvas. Organic swirls and grungy ornamentation frame the advertisement and adds another element of fluidity and movement that the product embodies.

All sections contain an overview of a type classification in a comparative chronology and provides two typeface examples for that classification with a short bio of their designers. Handmade book has 2-color limitation; printed on custom paper and adjusted for 2-sided impositioning; pages assembled in signatures, sewn, hand bound, and cased in.
