Cicada
Cicada illustration fragment shows the upper part of cicada and it was created with large magnification as I was working seperately on every detail of the shell cicadas body to create it's complexity with the flow of my lines.
I used very particular shapes by outline to change the shapes but still keep the original look especially around the head with it's huge eyes.
As much as it is my own impression of this amazeing insect I actually created cicadas wings as they really are.
After completeing the project I decided to erased wings, leaving only body abdomen with few remains from cicadas wings as they were destroied and torn apart.
