Eat Right Grocery store - Due to the obesity levels of current Americans, eating habits needed to be addressed in early childhood (elementary level). I wanted to create areas in the community that are recognizable to young children. "School Bus" Endcaps in the grocery store were expanded to create an area designated for nutritious food aimed at young children. Thus giving consumers options. And giving companies incentive to produce foods that could make the "grade" to be placed in these areas.
Cafeteria - I wanted to design the cafeteria, a place every childs visits each day, with healthy alternatives. Again, reinforcing the nutritious aspect of eating. Nutritious options can be reinforced with incentives.
Eat Right - "Addressing Childhood Nutrition in America" was the subject for my thesis. America is becoming a nation of overweight children. Some believe it is an epidemic. I wanted to create spaces within the community where children are exposed to good information on nutrition, along with healthy alternatives. (i.e. school cafeteria, grocery store, library, etc.) I wanted to creat a cohesive looking approach to my fixtures. As you can see the familiar school theme is apparent.

Eat Right

Eat Right is a concept to be placed in our grocery store to help children learn life long good eating habits.
