CSUSB Library - Site Plan + Concepts - This design proposal was conceived as a building wrought from conceptual consistency. Planned using the 10' grid of the land art to which it connects, the library derives its form and organization from the ideas of density, occupiable vs. non-occupiable space, degrees of social interaction, and containment. Wrapped in uniform metal screening and extending 30' below grade, the building appears as an object inserted into the landscape.

Parking Structure Housing - Site Plan + Concepts - Located in Santa Monica, California, this project responds to a growing need for housing by utilizing the rooftop of a parking structure. Emerging from a Mondrian-inspired sketch, the proposal represents a contextually sensitive urban landscape condensed within a limited area. Twenty-eight steel and laminated glass units are composed in three zones; those in the outlying zones are individual shifting volumes, while those in the center display gridded uniformity alluding the anonymous city.
