THE NEW STAND - Conduit defines the New Stand as: "A new street element that elevates the category of items found in an ordinary newsstand to a new level of high consumption, through a process of careful curation, selection and service. It is a New Standing point in design, made accessible to the New York audience."
THE NEW STAND - Our work aimed to establish new methodologies that build new markets, better brands and find smarter applications of "innovative" design. Departing from this perspective and within the legal and civic parameters, the Conduit Group presented a new newsstand, a New Stand on street consumption in New York City. The New Stand menu will be a collection of products that cater to, facilitate and stimulate the activities integral to NYC streetlife.
THE NEW STAND MENU - Within a long experience in working with a New York City audience, the Conduit Group developed a thorough survey in order to determine the Activities, Elements and Sensations that newyorkers associated with the City streets. THE NEW STAND MENU - [...] drinks (soft, soda, organic juice, mineral water, coffee, tea and energy drinks) pre-packaged food (chips, cookies, cereal, ramen, gourmet products, spices), candy, gum, mints, small toys, stickers, skin and hair products, wipes, stain-removers, and so on. Also, any product that could fall into the category of "periodical" -that repeats 12,6 or any number of times year-round.Conduit Group presented the previously mentioned products in a complete different way than regular newsstands.
