Jed McKie - A teacher once told me people don't hire portpolios, people hire people. Another teacher once said, the same way a writer needs to experience life to have something to write about; a designer needs to experience life to design. Over the years I've dabbled in many areas of craft and design. My current focus is industrial and furniture design.
Veneer Lamp - The lamp shade is made from one piece of paper backed maple veneer. It is scored and folds together without any glue or fasteners. The socket and cord are held by the base of the veneer. It was chosen to be exhibited in the international design competion "Talente 2006" in Munich Germany, in March of 2006.
HideOUT - HideOUT is a residential waste storage system. It is a shed that helps organize and store your household recycling and garbage. The unit can store 4 recycling bins or 2 and a garbage can. The bins stack on top of each other and can be dragged to the curb.
Folding Bar Stool - This bar stool was designed for outdoor use and storage. Made from white oak and african mahogany.
Deck Chair - My take on the Muskoka/Adirondack Chair. Made from western red cedar.
