Eyeris Camera

In setting out to create a camera I wanted one that was easy to grip and could take unique pictures using a flash. However when I started to put some ideas down the looks were very utilitarian. When I went to make a more sculptural form driven camera it didn’t seem very practical and would need a protective case. This design that I settled on delivers a nice grip so the camera won’t slip, but conceals that texture between two pieces of formed plastic giving a sleek subtle look with practical uses.

The flash is unique because it gives a feature other cameras can’t with the ring flash, but doesn’t intrude on the form of the camera. The camera’s button is a protruding easy to hit button. It’s funny how buttons are so concealed now, but hitting the button isn’t a big deal because the user can take virtually unlimited shots. The button also serves as a color splash.
