Challenges:
-There is a toilet bowls mixer that is supposed to overflow when “flushed.” I had to design a toilet that looked like a toilet, could fit in the box, had a button design that could hold up to retail “try me” conditions and was water tight for conducting experiments. I created a two part design that relied on a few well placed screws to hold seals in place. The button was reinforced as well.
-This product relied a lot on mixing exact measurements for substances to replicated experiments. I had to test the experiments, CAD containers that conveyed measurements clearly and create beaker stands that could be assembled by a user as young as 8.
