For over a year, I worked as a junior level, high end, private label bag designer for Ellington Leather in Portland, Oregon. I was responsible for everything ranging from supporting my senior designer with his work overflow to conceptualizing new & innovative designs for my own numerous clients including Pendleton, Ariat, Sundance, Title Nine, Wine Enthusiast, Territory Ahead, Smith and Hawken and many more. Daily activities included email communications with our in-house sales and overseas factories, managing numerous projects at once, creating intricate technical illustrations, spec packets & sample requests in Illustrator for our factories in a timely manner, quality checking, photographing & archiving samples as they arrived in Photoshop and Bridge, then revising them for the next round until we mastered a product. I also traveled to Italy in order to attend trade shows, sketch, photograph, and purchase inspiration samples, I continually kept up on current trends ( and still do!)
