Astro Trowel - For my ID Tech class we had to design a trowel for a very specific user. As you can see, my user is from the future.
(Though I do all of my own illustration, this represents an exception. The original illustrations of the explorers are by the late American Illustator Ed Emshwiller. These can be found in the 1958 edition of Robert A. Heinlein’s book “Have Space Suit – Will Travel”.)

Benches for South Addition - Reclaimed red oak (ebonized) & carved limstone
As part of a handpicked team of advanced furniture-making students, I was commisioned by Iowa State University administrators to design and produce four benches for a new addition to the Memorial Union building.
After a round of proposals and idea sessions, I was stoked when the clients ultimately picked my design. Bonus: they liked the finished product so much they commissioned another set.
