shot with a Nikon D40 (I know, I know) Using a two flash set up I managed to get some pretty dramatic lighting for a local Jazz/Blues Pianist. He just wanted your basic headshot/artist photos but I shot several "just incase" photos to be used for advertising/design purposes.
Shot with a Nikon D40 and stock lens The last shot of a photoshoot for a local rapper. He wanted shots that looked SOMEWHAT of a professional quality for magazine and web use. Being in Louisiana, random rain forced us into a close by parking structure instead of my planned out shot locations where I could utilize some of the natural lighting. This picture still came out quite nice though.
this one was a bit of a happy accident. I had a two flash setup with a reflector to help with the lighting, but one of the flashes refused to fire so instead I got some pretty dramatic looking lighting. As a plus I still managed to get the catchlights in the eyes. Considering this was shot on a 6yr old nikon D40 in low light, It came out pretty good.
u see that girl over there? - a really quick photo. if I had the time i would've reduced the flash in the shades
