Union Jack'z sports bar is located within the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall Resort, Montego Bay, Jamaica. My contributions towards this project included; programming, planning, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development.
The bar's concept is takes inspiration from the period of time when Jamaica was colonized by the British and popular sports activities from that era. The furniture selections cite the Campaign style of furniture utilized during travel or sporting events by the British in the 17th and 18th Centuries. The custom designed bar millwork takes inspiration from a campaign style chest of drawers. The walls of the bar are accessorized with vintage framed images showing popular Jamaican sports from the 17th and 18th century.
