Tampa High Speed Rail Station Area Plan
The north end of Downtown Tampa, Florida was planned for a transportation hub to link three of the region's major activity centers together. As a result of 1960's era urban renewal projects, the area surrounding the proposed station lacks activity, connectivity, and character. The proposed station area plan will be a significant shift to a walkable, connected, and integrated Uptown District. The project will take advantage of the investment to develop urban and ecological infrastructure as well as meaningful public spaces that stitch the urban and natural environments together.
