UX researcher needed to conduct usability tests and provide expert UX feedback on custom web and mobile editorial experiences. We often look for UX consult during the wireframing stages of a project and then again before development begins. The ideal candidate for this position will also be able to conduct, record and synthesize usability test videos for projects in development and postlaunch, as the feedback from these videos is invaluable heading into future projects. They will also be knowledgeable on up-to-the-minute industry trends and understand interaction patterns and best practices for web and mobile.
Exceptional communication and teaching skills are necessary, as we help a wide group of people with varying levels of digital expertise understand UX basics and complicated approaches.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong presentation and teaching skills
5-10 years’ experience working with UX and conducting UX research
Experience working with editorial content
Demonstrated skill communicating and documenting findings
3-5 hours availability/week during regular daytime hours
Screen recording software like QuickTime
Usability study software like UserTesting
Video conference/screen share software
Sharable documentation software like Google Sheets
The UX researcher will be working with a creative team at ESPN that manages the strategy, design, development and launch of responsive custom editorial experiences.
