Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Reporting to the CTO, you will interface with external design consultants and work closely with our engineers to create a beautiful and functional application. As a key member of the product team, you will lead and execute the design of both the SaaS platform and the product site.
The application will rely on your understanding and integration of users’ natural workflows with the app’s new capabilities, all done in a visually appealing and intuitive way. You will solve design problems related to versioning and collaboration features, cloud and local computation, as well as intuitive and expressive search and visualization.
-Review the UI and work closely with the technical team to ensure proper implementation
-Conduct analysis of competitive and complementary products
-Conduct ethnographic research of our users
-Design, supervise and conduct usability testing
-Synthesize your findings into proposals for new features, better workflows, and improved ease-of-use
-Design user flows and create clear and intuitive experiences for users
-3+ years of experience with UI/UX and visual design
-Bachelor’s degree in a design related field or equivalent experience
-Experience with creating and documenting design concepts and solutions using wireframes, high fidelity prototypes, or task flow diagrams
-Knowledge of design principles, web-based technologies, and responsive design
-The ability to construct and communicate a design rationale
-A portfolio demonstrating graphic design experience
-The ability to work on a small team yet also work independently
-An aesthetic flair tempered by the desire to make simple, usable interfaces
-Experience with Sketch and Adobe Creative Cloud
-Experience prototyping interfaces with HTML and CSS
-Interest in learning new technologies and design skills
-Interest in applying data-driven design principles
