X Factor Fútbol is a fútbol (American soccer) training program with a data-driven approach. My goals for the logo were to be energetic, represent fútbol, & have an element of "X Factorness". The 1st step was to explore a wide variety of design ideas by sketching.

From the exploration, the client selected a number of concepts to focus on.

The client decided to remove the "-" from the logo & narrowed the field to 3 concepts, which I made Adobe Illustrator versions of. I used highlights & outlines to give the logo depth, body, & impact. Color exploration also began.
The "Crazy Paint" concept was selected by the client & more color explorations were requested, including University of North Carolina colors, the operator's alma mater..

Ultimately, the "Crazy Paint" concept in University of North Carolina colors was chosen.
I generated additional variations of the logo for use in different applications, including integrating the URL, drawing on the previously explored graffiti concepts.
The logo is in use on facility environmental signage, apparel, & the X Factor Fútbol website.
