It has been nearly 50 years since man last visited the moon. On December 14th 1972 the crew of Apollo 17 lifted off from the Taurus-Littrow valley after completing a 3 day visit to the lunar surface. Apollo 17 was the first time a geologist was part of the team exploring the moon. The mission discovered new types of rocks which included finding the element Helium-3 plus traversing over 60 kilometers of the surface in the Moon Buggy. Apollo 17 was the culmination of a decade of manned space exploration devoted to exploring moon. This Book and the Mirrorama Panoramic Viewer commemorates the achievements of the crew of Apollo 17 and their legacy as The Last Men On The Moon.
