A tough, patterned mesh is used as the foundation layer. Its thickness prevents tearing but can also breath. Suede and leather are commonly used outdoor materials that give structure and support to the shoe.
The tough leather around the ankle is debossed with a thick rock pattern connecting nature with the shoe and adding more strength.
Bridges inspired the negative space on the ankle and heel. Modern bridge architecture is visually light and airy but the structures are incredibly strong. D-ring eyelets, patterned laces, speckled midsoles, and gum rubber outsoles are classic outdoor details that compliment and complete the shoe.

Fila Montagna 3

The Montagna 3 continues the vintage outdoor theme that was established within the Montagna series. It takes inspiration from the previous styles and uses them as a base to build upon. The concept was to develop a shoe that was stronger and looked more solid by adding structural patterns and negative space.
