Anas Acuta Final models. - After hours of strenuous tweaking and learning how boat forms are created in Rhino, I finished. Thats right, with no boat design experience whatsoever I managed to whip this out in about 40 hours (a little over) Top right are the many forms used to create the skins, top left are the panel forms that would be cut from 1/4 inch marine grade plywood to then be stitched into the boat you see above. Ask me about the design now, CLC seems to keep losing they're files and asking me for them again!
Anas Acuta Wooden kit boat. - Seen above are the only images I was provided for this project, they were given to me by the owner of Chesapeake Light Craft. My task was to design a wooden kit boat from an existing fiberglass boat design.
Final tent model. - These are images of the completed tent model, tested and proven to stand up to most weather. The tent fits one person and a good amount of gear, the difference from most other bivy sacks with poles is that this one weighs in at about half of all the others on the market. Oh yeah, it can also be assembled from inside, so you just get in in bad weather, zip up and then put your poles in avoiding time spent getting wet!
Emergency Bivy tent. - Just some sketches of tent I was working on early in my design work career, a simple form with intelligent use of material.
Portable seating - The project was to design a portable seat of some type. This particular chair acts as a swinging chair and a backpack.
Southern Frostbite Snowballs! - I designed built and prepared this cart for a small business that I ran in downtown Savannah, GA. The business sold tasty cold beverages in 100 degree weather, sno-cone heaven.
North Face knife block - Objective was to choose a company and model a knife block and knife set after its characteristics
Eastman Chemical Company work - More screen shots from the Eastman Chemical Company website, These show some early sketches and the overall Idea behind my work.
web screen shots from eastman site - These images are of screen shots from The Eastman Chemical companies web site, I was one of four students whose medical design idea was selected to be featured. The Idea is for a more portable IV unit.
North Face knife block - Final model of the knife block (constructed from MDF, lexan; knives are oomoo 30 and polished carbon steel)
Orthographics of KRUPPS cocktail mixer - A redesign project that involved breakdown and analysis of an existing product (The KRUPPS millennium Mixer.) These are orthographic views of the product. There are sketches of re designs the next image on the list.
Mixer concepts - In the redesign process, concepts were realized in sketch form first. These are some ideas that would replace the original mixer by fitting to the top of the martini glass. The original mixer was specifically for stiring martinis. The new design fits the glass and becomes a shaker and a stiring mechanism
The 00Airline chair. - This was a final model of an airline chair designed for a private airline company. The project involved interface technology, a strong understanding of approved in flight materials, and the mechanics of approved airplane seating. It was a blast to work with this client and an incredible learning experience.
The best use of my Yakima roof rack. - This rudimentary looking cluster of fabric is a custom tent that I designed for my truck one day out of complete bordem! I also really wanted to go camping in the bed of my truck for some reason. It consists of a main panel of canvas that extends between the cross bars and four zip on fine mesh screen paneling.
