Rise and Shine
Rise and Shine - Rise & Shine is a tribute to the Edison light bulb, which has been our source of electric light for over 130 years. The regular light bulb will soon be banned from the EU. Rise & Shine therefore honours the era of Edison lighting and shows - in a symbolic way - the brevity of existence. It is a goodbye to a monument so common that we hardly realize how special it still is. The lights used are all incandescent lights, even the large type, which was also used in the famous 1920 Rietveld lamp.
