9/ 2002 - Final Project - The Lebanese University (Branch 2) - The INFOTAINMENT CENTER provides convenience, based on openness, and security. Openness is essentially the possibility of passage. From the urban side by a
pedestrian entrance with bicycle motorcycle parking, lounge zones & drop off kiosks. From the freeway, by a direct vehicle snake shaped bridge that penetrates the
building and goes out again into the freeway. The architectural concept of this structure aims to form a linkage between openness and enclosure through continuity of
steel “skin” , the feeling is always “edgeless”. The interior walls also minimize to form basic enclosures for service functions.

The Gallery - 11 mar maroun street 61 - Situated on the “green-line” separating east & west Beirut, where most of the buildings stood empty for
more than fifteen years, this house came back to life with a new identity & a new atmosphere.
The façades’ sandstones were brushed to reveal the original shape, but the interior modifications where radical.
The load-bearing walls were dismantled to be replaced by a system of steel I-beams and columns. The stones
were used again in internal cladding along with steel, resin, wood & brushed concrete.
The spatial division derived from the traditional Lebanese “central hall” house is translated in a new reading
giving different zones for night-clubbers instead of house dwellers.

Bank Headquarters - The design of this 11-storey building on a very vibrant intersection in Beirut consists of 6 floors of office space, with event facilities on the 3rd floor, the main branch of the bank on the first two floors and a penthouse on the roof.
A demonstration of plasticity of form and surface. This “box” is effectively broken into different readings on each direction in accordance to the sides; the highway, the freeway & the urban line.
