Form studio was the bridge from first to second year design school. It introduced the concept of the refinement process through the basics of design: Planar, Linear and Tecto forms.

Planar Flow-- Considerations include: fair planar flow; fluid transition; contrast; spine; defining volume

Linear Flow--Considering: fluid flow, fair curve, direction, acceleration, and suggestion of volume.

Planar/Tecto Form-- Construct an expression of compartmentalization using primarily tectonic relationships, linear and planar. Considering: pattern, contrast, intersection, hierarchy
