Electronics Design - Baby Monitor - Just like a conventional baby monitor, this one relays audio information to the caretaker. The main draw of this device, however, is the communication of touch information. touch is a very important sense, particularly between parents and children.
As something we use so unconsciously, it's easy to forget how receptive we are to touch.
Heatscore - Medical and Assistive Device Design - We use our sense of temperature to avoid damaging our skin and harming whatever biological goodies are hidden underneath. Temperature perception can decrease as one ages or as a result of several neurological conditions, opening the door to terrible burns that could easily be avoided.

The project covered design considerations from initial criteria evaluation, ideation and preliminary mock-ups, to ergonomic and feasibility studies with full-scale paper and muslin prototypes. The project concluded with final pattern-making and the fabrication of a the finished article.
Poster for Group Project - Lorenzo Imbesi gave a talk on "Urban Nomadism" and his observations on how urban populations adapt and use their surroundings to suit personal needs not necessarily intended by the original designers. After the workshop, student's concepts were documented in the form of posters.
