Inside the World of Dinosaurs is the first unique and comprehensive interactive digital dinosaur encyclopaedia ever. Designed for iPad and released in 2012, the app contains 60 fully animated and roaring dinosaurs – all recreated using cinematic- quality 3D models, animations and sound effects. Also included are original fight scene animations; 40 fully rotatable scenes of dinosaurs engaged in mid-fight and over 200 pages of original text all narrated magically by Stephen Fry (‘QI’, ‘Black Adder’).
I was the lead designer and project manager of the tiny indie team of varying backgrounds who mostly worked during their spare time and were fuelled by passion. On release, the app was the most cutting edge interactive dinosaur encyclopaedia for iPad with 60 spinnable dinosaurs viewable from 360° and narration by Stephen Fry. It won the Appy Award 2012 for Education.
