Ray Duran tasked me with providing a starting point for what would become the Full-Color illustration Panels he would produce for Book 2. - Process began with a breakdown of the manuscript, selecting passages that would be visually interesting for the reader, while also moving the story forward.
Book 2 Cover Art Concept • As with Book 1's cover, I continued with actress Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist, Game of Thrones, The Matrix Resurrections) as the title character of Samara, through the use of many "googled" reference images. The cover projects a decisive shift in genre towards a heavier Sci-Fi edge to the reader. - There were two versions made, this being the 2nd version and is a more fleshed out concept. • Color Corrected, Composited, and retouched in Photoshop. • Ray Duran later created the final illustrated cover using the first version.
