A peninsula extended out from the east wall that made the kitchen very cramped. The cabinets hung from the previous soffit over the peninsula also darkened the room and were hazardous for bumping one's head. This new layout created a longer run of cabinets and creative storage solutions.
Pull out spice racks, corner lazy susan cabinets and undercabinet lighting are all features that make this kitchen much more livable and useful.
Rich Lyptus (Eucalyptus) wood flooring replaced the dated vinyl floor. The warm finish helps to liven up the black and white theme of the room and helps to ground the space.
Utilizing this formerly blank wall has provided a great deal of storage and a multi-functional space.
The new Blanco stainless steel undermount sink flows seamlessly with the black quartz counters.
Remodel Before Picture - This view from the dining portion of the kitchen shows the old layout an finishes. As shown, it was very cramped and dark because of the peninsula and the west wall was unused.
