Son Brett, 17, is involved in football and basketball, daughter Briana, 12, does volleyball, basketball, band, and soccer. “I’m a football mom, I help out a lot,” While Leary isn’t your average soccer mom she also sports a pair of leather chaps on her own time.“My life is my kids but, I’ve been able to spend time with me this year...for the first time,” Becky said.
Christine Lund, sophomore, at Oldham County High School gets her hair done for her first prom. Bonnie, Lund's mother, took pictures and video recorded Lund getting her hair done. "I did this with your sister, so now I'm going to do it with you," Bonnie said. "I've never seen those..." Jenn, Lund's older sister said quitley.
Dorothy, resident at Bowling Green Retirement Village, participates in Wii Bowling, as one of Friday's scheduled activities. With the help of Virginia, the official Wii Coach, both teams won a match. "We need a rematch," Dorothy said, which happened at 10:00 a.m. the next day. Wii Bowling happens on average 11 times a month.
The Bowling Family does an annual family camping trip each year to Barren River lake. "It is a time for us all to just get together," Becky Bowling said.
Chauncet and Ringo are so attached at the hip that Ringo must stand outside the room while Chauncet gets trimmed or she wouldn't be able to control herself."She shakes so bad, you'd think it was her first time," Tracy said, Chauncet has been going to Tracy for the last seven years to get groomed.
