'Get to the Point' - ‘Get to the Point.’ 2011 Ten blocks worth of printed hands/ Nebraska City Using a friendly and welcoming symbol found in most cities pointing in the direction of tourist attractions (‘ye olde timey hand’), I created my own path with them around the city. If followed, the hands will lead to a final giant thumbs up and, as a reward, ‘take away’ thumbs ups. An attempt to activate forgotten spaces and highlight parts of the city less traveled.
‘You Dropped Something’ 2011 Using ‘ye olde timey hand’ again, this time as a friendly reminder to those who litter in the neighborhood, and to those who leave it there. 50 hands placed around the town.

'The Living Room' 2009 silk-screen print and wallpaper, video, audio tour book 8' x 10' * installation was built to look like an inviting living room space; love seat faces a wall with my video work playing. There is an audio tour available for the guests to listen to as they watch the videos and move through space, serving as a special commentary for those who choose to follow it, also revealing other hidden videos within the space. Electric fire logs glow from the hearth while the record player within the mantel plays soft music and the sound of fire crackling. The Audio Tour is available for your listening pleasure at http://www.karadunne.com/the-living-room/
'Dress Me' - silk screen, performance, ongoing Life size paper doll clothing, 25 pieces (including bellboy jacket, military uniform, lingerie, and lederhosen) adjusted to my own measurements. Audience members can dress me however they like.
Hidden video ' Waiting' in 'The Living Room' - The Audio Tour (the player and headphones hidden within the books on mantel), plays a track that reveals a hidden video behind the framed print 'Beautiful Birds, Delicious Desserts, Pigeons and Whoopi Pies' (Image 7 in Portfolio). ‘Waiting’ I stand in front of dozens of beautiful, decorative fireplaces. Fireplaces that were once utilized but now are just for show. Standing in pose, waiting for someone to enter the room. 8 min. Listen to the AUDIO TOUR and watch VIDEOS here: http://www.karadunne.com/the-living-room/
Details of ‘Today’s Toile’ 8' x 10' Three color silk screened wallpaper * The wallpaper behind the mantel is a three-color blue toile design, drawn to resemble traditional toile with a contemporary twist. Silk screen. Imagery includes: A 'Thank You' bag stuck in a tree, a forgotten railroad track, a foreclosed boarded up house, an empty parking lot with shopping cart, an abandoned carousel, and doves turning into pigeons.
' I like you and this is how I show it' - Inside the lower right hand cabinet of the mantel is a teeny tiny video of a penis moving around, sent to me via camera phone from a guy I had only one date with. I haven’t talked to him since, but used this video as part of my living room installation. What you send out will be able to go places you least expect. There is an audio track leading you to this hidden video, giving commentary about the situation itself and the contemporary dating world.
‘More Impermanent Than Sand’, 2012 Silk screen, two color toile wallpaper Three panels, total area 12’ 6” x 8’ First Panel * Toile repeat design of a beach scene with lifeguard stand, beach chairs, shells, children building a sandcastle and a sand dune. The sand dune and the children building a sandcastle on the beach will change over time, creating an animation that happens within the wallpaper. Part of the sand dune behind and to the right of the children slowly turns into a wave, which gets bigger and approaches them. It grows bigger and crashes down on top of the children, leaving the sandcastle intact and the children half washed away, as if they were made of sand.
