Part 1: Discover the history of the utensil
View PDF
Design a group of design utensils based on a sound clip. Here I have my final design of Fork, Knife and Spoon
A Fork. As part of my sound clip, I wanted to get back to primal way of eating. It is a two part device which assists in picking up food.
A separation device, a reinterpretation of a knife. It assists in tearing apart food into small pieces
The final utensil is a triangular spoon consisting of the same finger inserts as the fork

FORM(ing) TASTE project

This project is divided into two parts. Part One: Design an infographic surrounding one typology (fork, spoon, knife or chopsticks) and research one of the analytical considerations (historical development, cultural implications, or fabrications and materiality). This poster was part one. Part II: design a family of utensils based on a 30 second sound clip. My family was based on woodland sounds.
