Mea is an inquiry into the interior design of a new concept for a Spiritual SPA and Wellness Center which proposal is to encapsulate the spiritual genus loci of traditional religious spaces and utilize the spirit of those spaces to enlighten the mind, body, and soul. The project will explore the common symbolic spiritual symbols found in religious beliefs, such as light as a representation of the presents of a holy essence, nature as the root of life, a sign of heath, beauty, and fertility, water as a characteristic of purity and rebirth, meditational as a connection to the divine, and holistic medicine as a healing treatments. The underlying purpose of this project is to explore how the new concept which essentially links spirituality to the customary design of a SPA (which is defined by the International Spa Association as a "place devoted to enhancing overall well-being”) benefits the interior atmosphere of the project and how the occupants can be enlighten through its design.
