During the design process we were very focused on the material aspect because Ron Arads work is orientated around the materials. The proposal for our cutlery was to make them from stainless steel with a bronze ball for contrast. We decided it was appropriate to try and cast the cutlery to get a feel as to how it would work in reality.

These are the final CAD renders of our groups final outcomes. As a group we all played a part in the design of the cutlery and wine glass and I was solely responsible for the wine bucket.

Ron Arad Inspired Tableware

Here we were set a project to design a range of tableware that encapsulates Ron Arad’s approach to architecture, which highlights his use of metals, lattice structures as well as a general hands on approach and attention to detail.
