And Immortality... - This particular collection was inspired by a cemetery scene in a music video. The shadows, shapes and mysterious fog became the main points of inspiration. I selected the colors from this theme after consulting the Pantone color forecast for Fall 2010.
The eerie and whimsical mood of cemetaries at dawn was poetic to me, inspiring me to create one of my favorite collections thus far.
And Immortality... - These are just four designs among many that were drawn for this project. I loved the colors, lace details and silhouettes that this mini collection has. Each garment has its own statement and cannot be compared to others. This collection would definitely be targeted towards a young market who is not afraid to take risks and always be fashion forward.
These sketches are the first step in process of creating a mini collection over the Spring 2010 semester. I have written a proposal based on an article in Harper's Bazaar titled "The Sexification of Fashion".
