Wankel Engine Model

This tabletop model shows mechanically how a Wankel internal combustion engine works, and the rotor moves when the crank handle is turned. The main pieces are laser cut acrylic. Only clear and black acrylic was available and the red and metallic gray pieces were reverse painted. All pieces were sanded with a fine grit sandpaper, giving a surface that hides scratches. Text was laser engraved on specialty plastic.
