DaimlerChrysler Internship - project objective: create a new vehicle for the Chrysler brand with a unique package to accommodate six passengers and their needs.
Products are increasingly customizable and upgradable. The Chrysler Motus changes the automotive purchasing experience by allowing the consumer to choose their vehicle features in the same way they might purchase a computer or a bicycle. They choose the number of seats and type of engine at the point of purchase and are able to upgrade to suit their future needs. A fresh engineering package with conversational seating, modular engine compartment bellow the interior floor, and a collapsible suspension system makes this vehicle a unique answer to consumers future needs.
GM Sponsored Project - project objective: Design a vehicle interior for the emerging market of mainland China that is consumer appropriate, cost saving, and innovative.
This interior is designed for the growing middle class of China. These are the consumers who want to embrace their newfound financial capabilities and current technology. This interior concept incorporates modular design and ease of manufacturing. It’s durability and easy maintenance means that in a country with few dealerships and car repair locations a consumer can order a part on line and easily make many repairs and upgrades on their own.
Mazda Sponsored Project - project objective: create a hybrid vehicle for the next generation of consumers who have grown up with years of virtual driving experience in their own living rooms.
This is a lifestyle accessory for the echo-boomers. The purchasing power of this consumer group will exceed the baby-boomer generation. Raised on racing video games they have already logged countless hours behind their virtual steering wheels. These experiences change the expectations of these first time car buyers. They will demand greater ability to upgrade and customize their vehicle.
