(Personal) Copy-writing for Ford
This is a copy-writing sample for my personal dream car, Ford Cobra GT 500.
The target for this message was middle-aged men between 40 and 54. A large percentage of men in this demographic are car enthusiasts; they read car magazines, they spend weekends cleaning and detailing their automobiles, which become their babies when children move out into the world.
The messaging for this copy centered on the idea that the Shelby GT 500 is a car that stole the hearts of men across the nation. Car enthusiasts are often guilty of spending more time with their cars than they do with their wives, and this campaign highlighted that concept, branding the Shelby as a “mistress” of sorts.
