In the following projects I have participated, as part of a team, with various responsibilities and in different roles. Most of the games were developed in Biosim lab as part of student or research projects. In these cases my main role was to come up with the original concept, build the teams, motivate them and lead them through the development process.
Wake Up For The Future is a deck building card game that aims to promote awareness and empower self-management regarding obstructive sleep apnea. The player takes control of a character who comes from the future, when knowledge about sleep apnea is lost. The player is thus motivated to learn about the disorder, by collecting relevant cards and using them to contradict false arguments of non player characters in card battles. (Unity, Mar '19 - Jun '20) Development started out as part of a student thesis and later turned into a research project. After multiple design iterations, a procedural game content generation technique was incorporated to generate opponents tailored to the player weakness and the game was used in an experiment. Results were published in an international scientific conference (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/9231785). Role: Mentoring / Game Design / AI / Pixel Graphics
An idle simulation game in early stages of development aiming to raise awareness regarding the symptoms of depression. (Student project, Godot, Mar '20 - Present) Role: Mentoring / Game design / AI / Pixel graphics
A puzzle game combining tabletop elements and the XeniousNet digital platform that was developed and run as a student workshop in Athens Science Festival 2018. Role: Game designer / Illustrator
Endorse Research Project This funded research project aims at the design, implementation and evaluation of a novel integrated platform based on advanced and emerging Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), gamification and biofeedback mechanisms facilitating self-management of health in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and obesity. (Unity, Jan '19 to Sep '21) Role: Design and development of procedural game content generation techniques.
A virtual reality serious game for surgeon training that simulates surgeries by translating them into puzzles. (Student project, Unity, Mar '21 - Present) Role: Mentoring / Game design
A serious game for upper limb rehabilitation after stroke. (Student project, Unity, Mar '21 - Present) Roles: Mentoring / Game design

Additional game projects

Most of these projects were undertaken as part of the undergraduate course "e-Health and m-Health Technologies" of ECE, NTUA.
The games were developed using the Unity engine.
