The scope of this POC was to showcase user login, customer search and the ability to display a user-friendly transaction history.
For this project, I was involved from concept to release (as it should be). Because our team was small and everyone was required to wear many hats, I played many roles.
I spent several days observing users in their environment to document how they are interacting with the application currently.
Then came the fun part, interaction design. In this stage, I mapped the goals of the project with the current practices of the users to develop a design that is usable and modern.
Then came the other fun part: visual design! I was able to experiment with color, styles, and UI components to create a new look and feel for an old application.
Our small team lacked a junior UI developer, so I stepped out of my comfort zone to create static html and css stylesheets for the screens in this project.
