What to Do with Paperboard?
This portfolio chronicles my first attempt at designing and making a papercraft model. The site I chose was Nanchan Temple, the oldest existent timber structure in China. When creating the 2D layout, I first selected images from the Internet of every facet of the structure, then I incorporated them into unfolded views using Photoshop; finally, I made multiple prototypes to make sure the geometry aligned in the folded product. The plans are printed on 8.5'' * 11'' paperboards at Staple's, and the model has a 1:100 scale.
